Men Going Their Own Way?

OK so now my little ventures around the blogosphere have introduced me to a thing called MGTOW, or Men Going Their Own Way. Apparently they have a manifesto that goes something along the lines of this:

1. Instilling masculinity in men by:

• Demanding respect for men
• Serving as good male role models
• Living independent lives
• Fighting chivalry

Demanding respect for men... isnt that what the feminists did? They demanded respect. Last time I checked, respect was something you earned. You can demand respect all you want, but like the feminists, if you're going sit around with your peers and bitch, and moan, and whine about "the other sex" you're not going to earn a thing. In fact some of the whining these guys are doing sounds allot like the garbage coming out of the feminists of years gone by.

Now serving as good male role models, thats a good one right? Well that is until you realize that any man who doesn't have contempt for a woman is not suitable to be a role model. A "real man" can live without a woman! and hence the independent lives objective. Last time I checked both God and evolution required a man and a woman to propagate the species, but thats no matter to these guys I guess. They figure they'll procreate away when ever they feel like it with their subjugated women. (more on that in another post)

Fighting Chivalry... Now I am confused... weren't those knights the really cool guys? You know the guys who ran around on horses, defending civilization from the evil bad guys. Weren't they the great warriors, full of courage; gallant, loyal and had sworn off cowardice and baseness... That whole fighting to the death and all that... thats not masculine anymore? No I suppose whining about women on some internet blog is far more masculine.

They go on and on too. They have a manifesto for what women should be, how the government should be. Lots of the ideas are right on too! But like feminism, while some of the idea's are good they are being promoted in a very twisted form.

I feel sorry for these guys. It seems to me that for all their talk about men's manliness and their independence, they are really just a bunch of guys afraid of feminists because they dont possess their own self confidence. Its like in Trains, Plains, and Automobiles when Neal and Dell wake up in the morning, realizing that they had been spooning all night. Del even gives Neal a kiss on the ear and nuzzles him as they both smile, clearly thinking they're with somebody else. When they wake up completely, the following discussion takes place:

Neal: Del... Why did you kiss my ear?
Del: Why are you holding my hand?
Neal: Where's your other hand?
Del: Between two pillows.
Neal: Those aren't pillows!
Del & Neal: Aaaaghhhh!!!!!

They immediately jump from the bed, completely horrified and try to play off the fact that they had just spent the night in each others arms by talking about manly things like sports.

That is what all this MGTOW pride stuff reminds me off...

Men who hate women who hate men...

Is it just me or is the whole world pissed off at each other? This is my first swing at a blog thing, so bear with me a bit here, but are these people for real? Are there only pissed off people blogging?

Here's what I mean, and what prompted me to do a little blogging myself. For various reasons I came across this anti feminism blog. From there I clickty, click, clicked my way to about a thousand other women hating sites. What's with all the hate?

I'm an old fashioned conservative myself, I like holding hands, opening doors, sending flowers, treating a woman like a princess. And I respect a woman as the creature God made her, not the lie that feminism teaches. But at the same time, I dont hate those that have drunken that coolaid! I mean, to read some of the rants coming from some of these men, you'd think they were a bunch feministas with their reproduction organs switched out!

So what is it with the world? Women hate men, Men hate women that hate men. Women hate men that hate women who hate men? Geeez... Im gettin dizzy...

And thats another thing... Can any of these "haters" out there express themselves without all the vulgarity? Im no prude, I spent enough time in my life as fireman, I could make a sailor blush with my creativity. But is that anyway to make a point?

What has this world come too?
